BTS Boyong 4 Penghargaan Billboard Music Awards 2021
Tampaknya tahun 2021 ini, masih milik boy group BTS. Bagaimana tidak, mereka mampu memboyong 4 penghargaan Billboard Music Awards 2021.
Acaranya sendiri berlangsung, Minggu, 23 Mei 2021 waktu setempat atau Senin, 24 Mei 2021 waktu Indonesia.
Nick Jonas menjadi pemandu acara malam penganugerahan yang diadakan di Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, Amerika Serikat tersebut.
Band beranggotakan tujuh orang – RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, V, Jimin dan Jungkook – berhasil menjadi terbaik untuk Top Duo/Group; BTS Top Song Sales Artist; Top Social Artist (Fan Voted); dan Top Selling Song untuk lagu “Dynamite.”
“Sungguh gila bisa dinominasikan sebagai “Top Social Artist” selama lima tahun berturut-turut. Terima kasih atas dukungan Anda yang tiada henti,” kata J-Hope di media sosial, sebagaimana dikutip Yonhap, Senin, 24 Mei 2021.

Di ajang tersebut, BTS menyanyikan untuk kali pertama single terbaru “Butter.” Dikutip dari Yonhap, “Butter” berbeda dari album sebelumnya “BE,” yang diisi dengan lagu-lagu yang lebih santai dan kontemplatif tentang perasaan dan peristiwa yang disaksikan anggota BTS selama pandemi. “Butter” lebih bernuansa dance-pop yang lembut, ceria, dan ringan sehingga bisa dinikmati oleh banyak orang.
Billboard Music Awards merupakan ajang penghargaan yang diadakan setiap tahun sejak 1990. Acara itu, pada mulanya, diadakan rutin setiap tahun pada bulan Desember. Sempat terhenti pada 2006, ajang penghargaan itu pun diadakan tidak lagi selalu diadakan tiap Desember. Ajang tersebut kembali diadakan sejak 2011 hanya saja diselenggarakan pada Mei di setiap tahunnya.
